Heehee--Channel 36 in San Jose. I remember when they ran Starsky and Hutch in the wee hours. I used to tape them, but I only had a limited number of cassettes, so I'd delete my less favorite eps.
This, unfortunately, is one of them. Oh, I very MUCH appreciate Starsky in those long johns and the wonderful scenes of the two of them in the cabin--Hutch cooking bear meat and winding Starsky up. But the plot--such as it is-- makes my eyes cross.
And yes, as a Californian, I am equally insulted that they call that dreary place a lake to go vacationing beside. It ain't Tahoe by a long shot.
Every time I think of KICU the little song pops in my mind... KICU, I see you, channel 36! I not only taped every episode I still have them all. And this is with two sets of DVDs... I might be obsessed.
The plot is ludicrous but the flirting is so wonderful. It's a fun episode for me.
I'm so glad you enjoyed the Devil and Mr. Hutchinson. It's such a delicious little piece.
If you ever make your way to Texas where I currently live you have a standing invitation to come look at all my Lorraine originals, including the one my icon is from. Her work is breathtaking.
Ah, and here is another ep that I rarely think about (except for the long johns, natch), but viewing it through the lens of your memories give me a new perspective! Thanks for sharing, Keri :)
Oh, and:
There’s tickling. Does that take anyone over to the flirting side?

I can't even get my head around the guys being dubbed in French.
You're right on the drool, lots of gorgeousness, but all that talking to each other is what really floats my boat:)
