So, uh, the only Tortall universe I've read in recent years is Provost's Dog and I've never read The Immortals.

My guilty pleasure OTP: Briar/any girl he's not related to. I just found that coping mechanism fascinating.

This took some thinking, because I seem to think less about shipping with books (unless of course it's an explicitly romantic series). Is that weird? I'd argue that it's because Tamora Pierce's stuff does include romance but isn't all about it, but Digimon's about kids with computer monsters saving the world. Maybe it's the fandom influence and how I don't usually get as much into book fandoms online...

Well, like you said, we don't have too much fandom overlap. But I also ship less with books. I guess because they tend to have more of a view of what's actually going on in the character's head, whereas with TV you can make it up to suit your purposes.

I don't remember the circle books too well, honestly. I haven't read Tortall in many years (aside from Beka), but when I did I read them SO MANY TIMES that I still remember them pretty well.

Heh, it sounds like Circle is to me as Tortall is to you. And I shoved my series bias at my sister too, recced her Tamora Pierce in general though mentioned that I prefer Circle and I've never seen her reading a Tortall book.

Oh man, I ship for this fandom but the canon itself keeps on freaking trolling with ships so much that I don't even have OTPs any more.
