Bones-Leonard-McCoy-whatever the fuck he's started calling himself in his own head had spent a good deal of the morning telling Scotty to "deal with the damn plant" (really, if you don't know, don't ask), cleaning up the barn (just in case), and finishing up some work in his office. Now that he's home, however, he's in the kitchen, drinking a glass of water -- which he nearly drops when Jim comes marching in.

"Jesus Jim, you'd think you were being court-martialed or something."

Finishing up his water (and turning to clean it, dry it, and put it away because he has a feeling Jim will start freaking out if he doesn't), Bones shakes his head slightly. "If you start digging around in that refrigerator, you're going to have half the contents scattered around the kitchen when they get here and the cat and Fenrir are going to have a field day when you insist on leaving it out so you can talk to them." Leaning against the counter, he watched him for a moment longer before shaking his head. "C'mere."

Jim almost jumps a little when Bones speaks up. He hadn't realized he'd come in the house. Which. Probably says something for his state of mind right now, considering he has something like a Bonesdar. Or something. Something is a good word. Vague. Jim likes it. Yeah.

"At least it'd give me something to do while we're talking," he says brightly, though the energy in his tone and body doesn't quite meet his eyes. Not that Jim's making eye contact with anyone right now.

He opens the fridge door and stares into it. They've got six human(...oid)s and a Norse god to feed with that fridge, so there's a shit ton of food and drink in it. It'd probably take all day just to sort it out.

He closes the door and, a little reluctantly, a little slowly like a kid dragging his heels, goes over to stand next to Bones at the counter.

George was beginning to share Bones' hatred of transporters. This really didn't look like the ice planet he was suppposed to be on. Nice not-ice planet, but not ice planet anyway. Reflexively he checked that all the bits were where they should be. And looked around thoughtfully. It was getting hot in his snow gear so he took off the jacket. "Now where did I end up?
