Thoughts on the Problem of Ethical LLM's and the Power of Residual Income

Of late I've been thinking about the problem with the argument that even an ethically sourced Large Language Model generative system is still thefty. In particular, how to explain the problem with the idea that payments to artists licensing their work are "a mere pittance," and therefore still effectively stealing from them

Unfortunately I've known the economic definition for over half a century, but I'm not sure what the other definition is. From the brief blurb on Amazon I think of the thing I observed in the long ago days when I did people's taxes, and saw that people with higher incomes were paying interest on a house and maybe a car, but people with lower incomes were paying interest (at higher rates) on three or four credit cards, which lowered their disposible income even further and which they really couldn't afford. Is that the kind of thing you're thinking of?

I did a chapter-by-chapter examination of the book in July and August of 2018. It starts with the introduction, and each successive chapter is examined three days later.
