Glad you figured it out.
Had one of our own not too long ago. My sister got an e-mail from dad asking if she shopped on Amazon. (something he should know, but he is over 80 and has his senior moments.) It did look suspicious, so after initially responding with an innocuous "yes", she sent a message to dad and asked him if he had sent that message. No, he'd gotten a similar message the other day and had gotten his contacts hijacked.
I told my sister to change her e-mail password and notify her contacts of the possible breach. Dad finally sent out a message telling people that he'd been "hacked".
