I'm a soundtrack geek, I admit it. This is made even worse by the fact that DW has some amazing music, composed by the super-talented Murray Gold. I'm a soundtrack geek too, although usually I tend to stick to film music. TV soundtracks are often bitty and not all that interesting, but Murray Gold has done some fantastic work here and I'm a convert. Well, to his stuff, anyway. The DW albums are the first TV music I've owned - Songs of Captivity and Freedom never fails to make me cry!

I hope there will be an album of music from the specials.

I hope so too! BBC is releasing a box set of them, so hopefully that means a soundtrack will follow!

Thanks for reading C: Hope you enjoyed it.

I've just been checking out some of your YT links, and have found there, a sort of "unofficial" soundtrack of music from EoT and WoM - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KwvjEGMUzcU&NR=1 and others.

Some people in comments are saying there will be an album of the music from the specials in Feb/Mar - fingers crossed.

I should learn not to do this at work though, because after listening to part of "Vale Decem", I'm in tears! (again).
