I can't honestly say if I love Köln or Düsseldorf more. I've spent more time in Köln out of them both, and it's a gorgeous, gorgeous city, but Düsseldorf seems a little more modern when it comes to architecture, and the crazy animu scene.

Also, go to the gay, little souvenir shop by Macdonalds in the main station at Köln. They have these awesome little bags reduced to €6. I got one, and it served me well all around the place.

I... miiiiiiight have to take you to Düsseldorf and drop you off there and let you run around aaaaaaall on your own for exactly five hours on the 20th if I can't shift my job at Düsseldorf uni to another day. But you have Sarah and her awesome German skills, so she can scare off any krauts trying to give you trouble. And once work's over I will collect you again and protect you from scary slave traders, and all those other nasty things that can happen to tourist girls on continental Europe.

... seriously, don't listen to Jess, Düsseldorf is pretty lame especially compared to any other epic cities you will have visited before getting there. But we probably can find something to do there, anyway. :)
