Me = Fail

Damn me. I took a break to read this Saxon/Lucy fic whilst writing my own and now I feel like a fucking amateur. All the words on my screen look like incoherent blather. Also I just sent what I have so far of said story to that same author for a read-through and I feel like throwing up from nervousness.

*depressed and nauseous*

I often feel that way about my writing. Lolz, when I first sent stuff over to my beta (best beta in the world BTW) I couldn't open her email attachment with her comments for 3 days coz I was sure it was gonna be awful...and I'd not been critiqued on my writing since college (coz I didn't do any :p)

It wasn't awful.

Man you should see the amount of work I've got to do on my latest chapter of Havaani though, lol. Beta notes everywhere. I'm getting back into shit habits.

Writers should always be contructive in their crit; after all we're all in the same boat and everyone has to start somewhere and develope their own individual style, so any comments shouldn't be awful.

And if they are, point them out to me and I shall spork them for being an arsehole :p

Hee! Well, it's not like I've never written anything before, or never had anything betaed... I guess I was so nervous because it's my first Doctor Who story, and I really liked that author's work.
