I can sympathise on the closing shifts thing @_@ That's all I seem to do nowadays, at my job, with the rare exception. I think it all stems from the one time I overslept because our electricity ran out of credit, and I was late for work... and was meant to start at midday >.>

And yes, mopping sucks. Majorly.

Closing shifts do suck because I always seem to get stuck with them, and since I'm the last person in that department I'm stuck with cleaning up half the store all by myself. :/ Not fun at all.

So how are you "pretifying" and organizing the history section? What I sometimes do is sort and organize the entire SW EU section in chronological order. :P
