Jeremy was actually reading something he'd been assigned in class. Hey, Lysistrata was totally kind of fascinating, and it wasn't like he had anything else to do. "So are you going to the dance?" Juliet asked, wandering in with no further fanfare. (Look, if he wanted her to knock, he could close the door, duh.)

She was pretty sure his answer was yes.

"Yes." It was probably nice to be right, wasn't it? Jeremy pried his bespectacled eyes from his book to look up at her. "Are you?"

If she wasn't he'd be beyond surprised.

It was always nice to be right, and Jeremy wasn't going to be surprised either.

"Sure," she said. "It's a party. I'll find some girls to hang out with and see if there's anyone who ... y'know. Catches my eye."

Juliet hadn't been asked yet, but she really didn't care. Dating had never been her priority.

"Either way, it'll be a good night."

"Totally," Jeremy agreed, putting his book down on his bedside table for the moment, then stretched out on his bed a bit more. "I don't have a date yet, either, but I figure there'll be single girls around too. Or who knows, maybe I'll still ask someone."

He wasn't one to get desperate and bothered by a lack of a date, either.
