*Taking a break away from Ash seemed like a good idea at the time when she thought about it, there was way too much she was still getting used to in this world, it's very different to her own. [Naturally on these busy streets it was inevitable that someone would run into her, which is exactly what Jake did. It was his fault of course; he'd been half-dancing, half-walking down the sidewalk to some music over his earbuds, and hadn't been watching where he was going. Recovering from the sudden bump he jumped back with all the agility being a dragon dancer allotted him, and he looked up to find the person he'd hit. On seeing it was a woman his initial angry retort died, quickly backpedaling into something more apologetic.]

Oh man, I'm sorry about that! I guess I wasn't keeping my eye on the road. [Oops; have a little nervous chuckle.]

[He stared at her, worried still. Her request caught him completely off guard though, and it showed.]

T-tour guide? Me? Well... [That same self-sure attitude came back in a moment and he smiled confidently, shrugging in a way he hoped was nonchalant as he put his hands in his pockets.] Sure! I mean, who else to see the sights with than a bonafide citizen of the NYC?

Are you sure? I mean I can totally understand if you have other things you should be doing...What about your parents? I don't want to ask if this is something that might freak them out.

*Well at least that was settled. Jake had agreed which made her feel a little better corncerning his welfare but other than that she was still worried about that guy in the back of her mind.*

Would it helped if I talked to them or are they usually alright about these sorts of things?

My parents? [When he slapped his forehead, it was obvious they hadn't been what he was thinking about. He brightened after a moment and pulled out a cellphone.] It's a'ight though, I got this. Be right back.

[Walking away a few steps he dialed a number, stealing a glance at Saft while it was ringing.] Gramps? I need you to explain something to Mom real quick.

*She's going to take these few minutes to try and think things through to herself anywho - Why follow her all the way to New York of all places unless he had a very good reason for doing so? Perhaps he'd hoped that he could cause some sort of event that'd cause her to flip out into her Dragon form and harm alot of people? But would he really try to do that sort of thing here when he'd already tried it back home?

Her gaze turned over towards Jake it might have been possible there was something about him that ever so slightly made her wonder about the amount of time it took for him to save her from that Truck but she couldn't help but smile partly listening to his conversation...it must be nice to know that there was a family he could turn to if ne was in need of anything Saft pretty much just had herself and the few friends she knew.*

[Jake kept his voice down for part of the conversation, giving his grandfather a quick overview of what had happened so far. At length he smacked a hand over his face and sighed.] No look, I can't explain it, just tell Mom I'll be away for the rest of the day on uh.. on AmDrag business. [If Saft had seen a creepy guy one second who was gone the next, that definitely wasn't good, right? It sounded way too familiar for his liking.] And if Trix and Spud drop by, tell 'em to ring me.

[Shutting off the cell he turned back, walking over.] Okay, we're all good! So to Central Park, right?

((Alright, see you later~ Oh yeah, if you've got a full-body ref or two of Saft, I'd like to try my hand at a couple sketches too ^^ ))

*She hated eavesdropping on people but she may have totally caught random parts of that conversation Jake...something about a "AmDrag?" either way she was going to take this afternoon to relax with her new friend and whatever other stuff Jake was caught up with it was none of her buisness.*

[Grinning, Jake walked off to the nearest bus stop. As he did, his eyes jumped around for any sign of someone out of place, but no such luck. He looked back at Saft, smiling again.] Luckily enough for us, it ain't a long ride to Central Park.

((Ah awesome, thanks ^^ And also, I guess we can just jump to the park? XD ))

*Like Jake said it wasn't such a long ride and they were soon at the park. It'd been quite a long time since she'd seen any grassy areas like this and from what she could see it was rather relaxed and people were there to have fun.*

Oh. Wow.

Jake, this is incredible! I knew this place was big but it's better than I thought it was going to be.

*She suddenly get's this rather kiddish grin on her face as she prods Jake on the shoulder. As she takes off once again* I'll race you to the fountain! Last one there gets their head dunked under it!

Yeah, Central Park is da bomb, ya know what I mean? [When she ran off he blinked, then started running after her. Unfortunately, shorter legs didn't make it easy to catch up.] H-hey, wait up girl!

And on top of that I'm now getting dragged out to a party @_@

*Tra la la la la~ Hijinks and snacking soon ensue and Saft seems alot happier now she's just chilling out and having fun at the same time, it's pretty much as if she's in her own element running around free and getting to pretend she's a normal girl. She's now currently sat on a bench wrapping her arms around her legs resting her head on her chin taking a few moments to relax before she decides to do anything crazy again.*

Jake, this afternoon's been wonderful You didn't have to spend all this time with me and you did...You're a really good kid.

I just wish I knew of a really awesome way to repay you, I mean it's the least I can do especially since you saved my life earlier.

*She sighs* It's been so nice today..I just feel like I'm going through so much and there's no one I can really talk to about things because they're majorly insane... I'm not sure even if you'd understand.

Ahh XD; Have fun?

[Sitting beside her, Jake was leaning back with his arms slung over the back of the bench. He looked up at Saft and grinned.]

Psh, you don't have to worry about repaying me. [As she continued he looked out over the park, smiling a little distantly.] Y'know, I might understand more than you think. [The answer was a little distant, more to himself than her, but it was still perfectly audible.]

Back! Finally! Freeedoooooom!

*With that reply Saft took something into consideration. Maybe she could trust him with what she wanted to tell him - He seemed rather carefree about most things. Maybe the fact that he was talking to a dragon wouldn't freak him out either.*

Jake? If I wasn't what you thought I was and if you knew what kind of terrible things I might have done would you...Yanno still want to be around me, despite what those things were?

[Stirred out of whatever thought pattern he was in he sat up, looking at her with a confused blink. When it finally sank in, he nodded once.]

Yeah, of course I would. I mean, I've seen a lot of things. What's up? [As he spoke he moved his arms over to this side of the bench, rubbing the feeling back into them. Oww.]

*She rubs at her arms, still not sure how to go about this. But then again things might go alot easier than she thought they might.*

I-Uh..Well you see? It's just...*A rather large angry ogre type thing coming Jake's way.*

[Just like before, it had taken a moment or two for Saft's words to sink in. When they did he looked up suddenly, then let out a yell and dove off the bench, just barely missing the ogre. He rolled to a crouching position and glared at it, then remembered he wasn't alone just before revealing his scaly secret. This caused a wince and an "Aw maaan" under his breath, before looking at Saft.]

C'mon, we gotta run!
