I'm a bit MIA right now because...dun..dun..dun! I've set a date for my defense. D-day is April 8th, and I'm frantically writing my thesis. So, basically, if I comment even less than usual (which may not be altogether possible), that's why.

Holy crap I got the NASA fellowship.

I am totally, totally floored.

I haven't posted in a while (understatement much?)

Right now I am in the middle of working on my thesis, completing a paper and applying for jobs. My cousin asked a few days ago how you become an astronomer and I only just bit back the automatic "well, first, learn to function without sleep" response. Yeah, it's been a while

I'm working on a paper right now, which means I have to learn all the stuff I was supposed to have learned in my first few years of grad school in about a month's time. It's actually kinda fun figuring out how to do things which is good because if it weren't, it's a bit late to realize I'm in the wrong career.
