Yeah, just ebooks so far. If you're just wanting to browse, have a look at the abc store website. https://shop.abc.net.au/ I wouldn't recommend buying form there, as they are usually expensive (JB HiFi is cheaper), but it's a nice place to browse. :)
I just checked some of the kindle titles I bought over the last few months. They're literally twice the price on the au site compared to the uk site, taking into consideration the exchange rate. This book I bought for £3.45 from Amazon UK is $11.99 on Amazon AU.
I mean, SERIOUSLY?!
People are so surprised when I tell them a lot of things are actually cheaper in the UK than in Australia.
Yeah, and I've been informed there's a smaller catalogue too. Seems we don't have to switch though, so I'm keeping my American account until they make me.
*points at icon* That sums up my reaction right now.
Now I haven't purchased anything from Amazon.de, but can they really do that? I mean this is stuff people have PAID for. This is where hard copy is so much better. They can't revoke your access to a paperback, just because they want more money.
You know, that's one reason why I've been so uneasy about making a total jump over to digital for things like books, because, EXACTLY, they can't (yet ;) ) come to your house and yank your paperbook away from you because of a policy change/glitch/desire to make you have to buy it again and pay more for it this time/etc. :S
Yeah! Though I now realise (so it seems) that they can't force us to change. I can still access the American ebooks site I think. SO I am not changing! Up yours Amazon!

Edited to add phooey, there's no video section. I've been watching some Aussie shows lately and was hoping for an easy way to look for more.
