Dear H50

I'm so sorry I gave up on you! I didn't realise you were going to be playing up the team-bonding and hurt/comfort so much toward the middle of Season 2. I just wish you'd alluded to that earlier. I now bow at your feet ( Read more... )

I'm only up to episode 17, but one thing I'm noticing is that with the new Governor, there is still a lot of violence, but a bit less of the really dumb stuff that's totally unnecessary. Plus, right where I'm up to in the midseason, they've definitely upped the team-bonding and h/c components of the show. Perhaps they listen to fans. It's nice, not only because it makes McGarrett more human, but also because the rest of the team has more chances to be the hero in the moment. But, I hope Laurrie isn't really leaving. They just started to make her a useful character - combination of tough and pretty, rather than just pretty, ya know? *sigh*

Anyway, I swing quickly with this show as to whether I can be bothered watching, because when they are nothing but blokes hanging people off of buildings, I get way bored.

But even when they're blokes hanging people off buildings they're pretty blokes hanging people off buildings while having a bromantic discussion about whether or not hanging people off buildings is appropriate. What's not to love?

H50 is such a 'turn off brain' show! I look at some of the gun battles and think: what, really? Just, no.

But the pretty scenary, human and otherwise! And Zen Chin. And Kono being awesome. And bromantic bickering! It makes me happy in a ludicrous, don't think now, way.

Bwahahahahahaha! Okay! I did pretty much say something similar to a friend today when I had the theme song stuck in my head, so I'll just nod. *refers to icon*
