Um...when you crossfade two clips and right-click on the transition area, if you go to fade type, you have a whole range of various fades to choose from - it seems like it'd be one of those:)

To me, it seems like a fade. There's all sorts of variations and depending on the length of the crossover area, you can get some really nice effects between the clips.

I must admit to never working out what a lot of the fades are. They're just squiggly lines and since I have to render to see them, I haven't paid much attention. Time to rectify that methinks. :)
