Has anyone found any good Merlin (anyone can be in it) really adventurous sword-fighting, horse-riding, magic-weilding.... etc. fic? I am having withdrawals ( Read more... )

Oooh! oooh! me too! alas, I've only seen a couple of Merlin/Arthur ones so far, and that's because they're from an author I keep an eye on. A lot of people are getting into the fandom, though, I bet we'll get some great fic yet!

Heee, well hopefully the Merlin/Arthur fic is better than the femmeslash on offer, cos it so isn't interesting to me so far. Bleh. Pity too.

I started reading some crack, but it also didn't work.

I think in a new fandom, I need to start out with gen and stuff that's close to canon and then branch out from there. Ya know? I just need to find me some. *wanders off to poke at comms*

I'm really not a huge slasher. I do tend to find when I get further into a fandom I can read slash, but it's a matter of a few select authors. I hope there's some great gen though, because there's such potential for adventure and sheer fun, not to mention the h/c and magic and mystery and just all round good fic! :) If I can ever figure out the character voices I'm sure I'll join in there. :)

And thank you. I'm sure I'll make Camelot_haven my mainstay place for reading if it takes off like the spn_gen comm did. :) Plus the het pairings in Merlin are adorably feisty. I'm sure they'll get a good look-in!

I'd love to read some as well because I'm off shipping Merlin as he just reminds me too much of my brother... I can sort of do Merlin/Morgana future magical rivalry fics but nothing else because too squicky otherwise.

I've mainly been reading Arthur/Morgana myself, but I figured gen must be out there somewhere...

As for icons, there's no shortage of them in this fandom - check out merlin_tv. There's about 10 or so icon posts per day right now! I even had a go at Merlin icons lately, but can't speak as to whether you'd consider any of mine nice.
