*returns hug* Sorry you've wandered into badness. I know how it feels though. I'm new to this, and I'm still wondering half the time if I'm breaking tons of unwritten rules that I have no clue about. :) Especially about the friending thing.
The friending thing is non-existant. Their are a few crazies that if you ask if it's ok to friend them, see that as some sort of insult or as begging to be friended back or something. I've never understood that one for the life of me.
This is just a general comment, since it's been at least a week since I've personally stumbled into badness and been berated, but I've been seeing a lot of it lately. It's amazing how usually sane people suddenly get a bee in their bonnet and go at someone. It resembles the bad parts of real life a little too closely some days.
*hugs you back* The very first time I posted anything (way back with the X-Files) I got flamed, badly. Scorched would be a better description. I don't even remember my offense, but it was an offense of ignorance not malice. If several people had not jumped to my defense (and then taken me aside and explained my mistake) I would have thought the internet was way to dangerous a place to be. But I've come to realize that there are no universal rules. So I just try to be as polite and accepting as possible. And if people still have a problem, well there is not much I can do about that. So I try not to worry about it. But it can still be stressful. *hugs again*
Oh I'm not worried, I've just seen a few weird things lately and it's saddening. Felt like commenting, ya know. Like I said, I think we've all done it, which is why I wonder why the flaming still continues. It's like kids in a boarding school. It was done to them, so now it's their turn to do it...why not just break the cycle? Hippy peace and love man. :)
Aw hon. Don't let whomever is bugging ya get to you. I've been called a bitch and a snob by people who I thought were dear online friends. Sometimes life is way too short to worry about those few people that seem nice at first and later turn into crazy yelling online people. *huggles ya* Also everyone makes mistakes and if they can't forgive you then they aren't really such a good friend after all.
