I think it's pretty accurate, though.
Think about it.
Harry Potter kinda overwhelmed everyone's lives. It'll be something people will tell their kids about, like Star Wars.
Twilight...
I think the craze will die with the last movies and there'll be the small group of hardcore fans. Y'know?

Well, sure, I guess if you're strictly talking impact, there is definite correlation. Ngl, though, my inner fangirl died a little bit inside when I read that. :P

This is, of course, ignoring the hype surrounding both fandoms. I mean, like HP fans are just as passionate as Twilight fans and vise versa.
If I were to look only at, like, the fandoms at a fan's perspective (ignoring the original books and movies) then I'd say they were about the same...
About the same. I say about, because Harry Potter is still going strong, where as the Twilight fandom (at least the slash fandom) is kinda dying off.
