That night, she dreams of a troubled woman whom she would not let be besieged by darkness. The woman had many frequent nightmares and there came a point when the woman began to question whether that darkness came from within.
But she had laughed. Don’t be silly. There’s no darkness in your heart and could never be.
That first time, when the evil that had gripped her had been external, she had been sure to take those darn, wretched lilies and throw them out the window where they wouldn’t bother the woman any longer.
Nothing bad will ever happen to her again, she vowed. I’ll make sure of that.
