It’s cold inside the castle.
Unable to sleep for yet another night running, she picks up the candle by her bedside and heads over to the window. When she opens it, a blast of cold air hits her so sharply that she gasps; but instead of moving away, she stays there, closing her eyes and allowing the chilly air to seep through her skin. She

Lol, next time Lancelot and Arthur spar on the show, I'm putting my request in for 'shirtless'. Glad you liked the soup thing! <333

I love that Arthur and Gwen were still uncomfortable around each other even after connecting during the dance. So many authors would go with the Disney cliche of they dance and suddenly they understand each other's ~souls, but instead you recognized that one moment does not a relationship make. It's often a difficult one step forward, two steps back process, and I'm enjoying the progression immensely.
Your writing style is always fantastic, but I especially enjoyed this section:
He watches her intently and once or twice she lifts her eyes, a disconcerted look upon her face ( ... )

I'm glad you like Lancelot here, and seriously writing Arthur/Lancey's BFFness is fun to write. I do wish to have seen that on the show, but maybe it would have taken away Merlin a bit (I've found that Lancelot seems to replace where I would have usually written merlin, lol!)

Lmao, and you so know that I would usually be one of those. Disney love ftw! Actually, in my first draft they were a bit like that, but it didn't work so awkwardness it was, so glad you liked that!!! <3
And really really glad you liked that section!
Another fantastic installment, bb! And blegh, filler? PSH. Filler is when nothing happens. Something ALWAYS happens in your chapterss -- I don't think you're capable of filler!
ILU, did you know that? I've told you a million times I'm sure, but I do!!! ♥

Aw, bb!! *hugs* ILU, too!! I'm so glad this review brought a smile to your face because your writing (and you!) always does just that for me.

And of course, I was proven correct. Even this so called "filler" chapter is pretty awesome in it's own right.
I love all the characters(Merlin is completely adorable and he hasn't actually
been in any of the scenes!), but for some reason Lancelot really stands out to me...I'm not really a Lancelot fan in the show, but your version of him makes me kinda sorta fall in love with him.

Haha, I realised that I hadn't written Merlin saying anything, but it didn't seem to fit, so fleeting descriptions had to suffice! I'm really glad you like Lancelot here. He could have been written better on the show, but I do find him a sweetheart, regardless!
Thanks so much, bb! ♥

I am seriously hooked! lol I love Arthur/Lancelot's relationship and Lancelot's jibes and how Arthur has to prove him wrong :P and YOUCH I could really feel the tension and awkwardness between Arthur/Gwen during there dinner-also how Arthur seeks Gwen out when she's in the snow, even if he's not exactly jumping for joy at doing so :p
Can't wait for the next part!! :D
