I don't know yet if it's made the national news but the south has been hit hard with a string of tornados. I made light of it yesterday (mostly because, being surrounded by the mountains, we've always been told we're pretty safe from tornados) but it stopped being funny after spending most of the night in the basement. We got out super lucky here (

My mom and my grandparents live in Tennessee...

Other than having horrible hail (golf ball and softball sized!), they're okay.

However, a tornado went through a small town not far away and killed at least 7 people. :(

It's hard being in another country and hearing what's going on in and around your hometown...where your family still lives. *sigh*

Oh goodness, well I'm so glad your family is ok. We were really lucky ourselves but people were killed so close by. It's hard to believe.
