OKAY, SO I GOT MY NEW JOB!  YAY ME!  AND I'D LIKE TO ASK SOME OPINIONS OF MY PEERS....  WELL, SORT OF.  MY QUESTION IS THIS - WHEN YOU'RE READING BLOGS IN WHATEVER BLOGOSPHERE YOU FREQUENT, WHAT KIND DO YOU STOP TO READ THE MOST?  WHAT MAKES YOU INTERESTED IN READING THE WHOLE BLOG ENTRY?  WHAT ARE YOU PEOPLE READING??

hooray! congrats on the job! :) that's the one for the LA Weekly-type thing, right? that's rad.

the kind i read most are my online friends who i've met over the years. i keep up with their lives on here.. i also like to read various communities on here which reflect my own interests (knitting, etc.) i personally prefer the setup that live journal has, where you can see all your friends posts on a single page, unlike myspace where you have to go to their page, and click through to their blogs.. too much effort!

pictures help keep interest. also the lj cuts that hide information; i think it's just human curiosity to want to know 'what else is there?' also links to other sites that the person found interesting/useful/cool usually makes me click through and want to know why they posted it..

Blogs - Emotive ones are the most eye-catching so far - heart bleeding, fist pounding, gutter stricken, life spiraling, life enlightening, drunken (truthful), personal stuff, or....pics.
