Shannon's entry was better than mine ever could be. She said everything I would have tried to say. Fuck quitting while you're ahead (although some would argue that they left "ahead" behind 10 years ago, but when you only got to the party 6 years ago, it's all relative). i'm late to the party, too. i saw a couple of the final shows when kerr was still drumming, so i missed the clark years altogether. maybe it was better back then, but if so, then they must have been the most perfect band ever, because even last night and tonight, they are just exquisitely talented musicians.
bantering aside, i love love love the way they communicate during songs with the slightest of nods or a vague point of a finger and they all move as one to wrestle the music into the shape and direction they want it to go. total pros, man.
thanks again for everything tonight :) i hope don kerr and his cowbell don't show up in my nightmares! ;)
