I found out through the grapevine today that the first person I fell in love with post-separation and divorce (Emily, some may remember those entries circa 2012) is engaged. We have not seen or spoken to each other in over 3 years but in the age of social media and mutual friends, etc. it is not hard to hear about such news

Like having kids, I am so fully team "one and done" on marriage.

It's not that I hated the concept of marriage (I love it! I love Love!), but it may not really be for ME. Or at least, not anytime soon, as I'm finally prepping for my own far-overdue divorce (from a marriage I'd checked out on years ago).

I can't even imagine what kind of person I'd want to make that sort of commitment to.

I think I just want to get a puppy for the kiddo and I instead. 😉

My relationship before Allison (which lasted around a year) involved the best dog ever. In hindsight I loved her dog and I still miss that dog sometimes. Her? Never. :)
