This was the first weekend in what felt like 'forever' (really just August) that we didn't have two kids' worth of soccer obligations, which offered a nice break, particularly on Saturday morning.

I said they should acquire Iginla and that would put them over the top! :)

They're the real deal and they have a TON of cap space for the deadline. The Kings need to load up a bit for the playoffs because Detroit will be tough.

I thought that game a couple of weeks ago where Kovalchuk whiffed on that penalty shot was hysterical. He just plain lost the puck. And they paid him how much money?

I hate to see the Devils playing like this. I'm not a huge fan, but I like any team that wins with defense and goaltending. I know that a lot of hockey fans hate that neutral zone trap type of play, but I guess that's just the way I'm wired. In baseball, I love pitching. In football, I love hard hits and turnovers. I'm just defense-minded.
