I think he have several "ones" but they are neither abundant or scarce; they're "out there" and our various choices can lead us to one or more of them. And sometimes our "one" can be a best friend (a "friends mate", if you will) or some other non-romantic variation.
Different forks in the road lead us to different paths. :)
I didn't really even become that much of a hockey fan until around 1996/97 (AFTER the Avs 1996 Cup Win; I did not just jump on the bandwagon, I swear!).
What attracted me was a couple of things: 1) I won the Cup with them on NHL 98 for the original Playstation (first team I beat the game with!) and 2) Watching Forsberg play was just awesome. In his prime he was simply the best thing on NHL ice. Period.
Word on the street is that Def Leppard and Poison will be heading out on a 40-date summer tour later this year. Let's pretend that they ask you, as a long-time hard rock fan, to choose a band - still together or not - to open up the tour.
What band would you like to see open up this tour? (We'll pretend that any band you pick would overcome any obstacles to prior reconciliation just because, you know, you asked nicely or something.)
I'm thinking the original line-up of Skid Row would be THE band to open that tour. Sebastian and Co. should swallow their pride, record a new song, gather the b-sides, and give themselves a proper anthology and make a go of it.
Enuff Z' Nuff would be down a key member or two though. Their original guitarist, Derek Frigo, died in 2004 and their long-time drummer Ricky Parent died in 2007.
Interesting bit of EzN trivia you might appreciate: I saw EzN guitarist Derek Frigo and drummer Vik Fox perform as part of Vince Neils band in a really small club. It was shortly after the release of his second solo album. Derek - who I actually liked in his pre-EzN band Le Mans - was a phenomenal talent.
Since we're chatting metal, I've also read that the original line-up of Keel is lining up some dates this summer and is hoping to hop onto a summer tour package.
Did it ever bother you that, despite the sheer volume of ammunition used and explosions created on The A-Team, no one ever died? Is anyone that bad a shot? And would you ever hire them if they were?

And, yeah, I'd hire them because, as the show explained, "when no one else can help" you call the A-Team. :P
