Many a relative got it right for Christmas this year, as I got not only a great new coffeemaker but also a variety of beans and grounds to try out. This morning it's Mocha Chocolate Heaven On In a Cup.

Actually, its not really called that. It just tastes that way.

On to The Rounds...

Bill Richardson, a candidate I genuinely like and think could be an effective President

I was listening to a political analyst on NPR that thought the only reason that Bill Richardson has continued to remain visible is his hope for a VP-slot in an Obama or Edwards campaign. I'm with you on his credentials but he's just not popular enough to garner the votes (and dollars) necessary to get him into the White House. That said, his credentials would suit him well in the VP office.

I could see Richardson as a VP choice for Edwards, but only for Edwards. I think if Obama gets the nomination he'll be looking for... well, a white guy. There is no other way to put it. Tom Vilsack of Iowa, Evan Bayh of Indiana, perhaps Jim Webb or former Nebraska Senator Bob Kerrey. I think Richardson coupled with Obama or Clinton is one too many "firsts" on the ticket.

There is a cost for each kid but they've also done some class fundraisers and I think the PTA has raised some funds too.
