Kevin and I were watching a show about this music festival in San Fran that preceded Woodstock (I know I know the name, but my memory is terrible and I'm totally blanking now) and I couldn't help but ask "How the HELL did we go from this... to DISCO?"

I understand the transitions before and after, but I really think I'm missing something in between.

I know that's not quite what you're getting at here, but its something I always wonder when I see those investment/retirement commercials with Dennis Hopper in them.
