Damn, the graphics are gorgeous! I must admit, even being a Castlevania fan, I'd never heard of this one until you two mentioned it in the podcast. *bonks self* Always have loved the music from the series, too.

Hmm, I REALLY want to play this now. I knew about it, but it was the not being able to understand Japanese that put me off... I know it's kinda stupid. It's annoying that the Japanese keep a lot of good games to themselves D:

The PSP version is almost the same game, so give it a whirl. Really the Japanese/German isn't a big deal. You're a Belmont, you fight Dracula. End of story. :3

I agree with starman. Not getting all the dialogue will not take away from the game. Besides, there are sites out there that have it translated.
