Thanks! :-D

I may end up packaging Mars (and other legacy members) when the legacy is done. If others are interested in downloading her, at least.

This is so great! I especially love that you picked such an interesting time period. I can't wait for the next one!

Mars is gorgeous, by the way :)

I'm such a 20th Century history geek- I couldn't ignore the baby boomer generation!

Thanks for the comment! I love Mars. I'll probably end up packaging her for others to download when the legacy is done.

Wonderful wonderful! I love it. You've got a great no-nonense way of writing and the pacing is very good, well thought out and keeps the story rolling at a very comfortable speed.

A definite addition to the flist. I'm going to enjoy following this story and seeing it unravel.

I didn't plan for the prologue to be like this until last night- after I was nearly through generation one. So right now it's just a regular legacy written in story-format. I think I'm going to make a clone of Mars, though, and have her story develop seperately for a while. So there will probably be at least one other chapter like this one. And once it gets into her having kids, it's not going to be a regular random-caption-every-picture kind of thing. Every generation will have character development of some degree in it. :-)

I love your legacy! This is exactly the kind I was thinking of doing, but I'm not a great writer and besides, I don't have any ideas as great as this.

Definitely loving it.

I had a really hard time coming up with witty captions for every picture. So since writing is my main talent, and history is my main obsession, I was kinda stuck with this format (...but in a good way. :-D).

Thanks for the comment! Really appreciated. :-D

Oh awesome, I love sim stories that progress through real-life time--especially ones that, for once, don't start in the middle ages. I'm a 20th century history geek, too, and am actually doing something similar in my own game (though it's not a story or anything, just something I'm doing for fun)--I started out the neighborhood in the year 1950, with custom, time-appropriately attired townies and time-appropriate community lots and everything, playing a single family. It's about 1978 in that neighborhood as of now.

Glad I'm not the only one! :-)

I wanted to somehow incorporate the 50s - 80s into my legacy, and the only way I could think of doing that is by starting off in the 1700s and working my way up. It's just... anything before 1850 kind of bores me. I'm sure it's an interesting time period, but whenever I have to focus on it, my mind wanders.

I figured this scenario out last night, right before I was going to post a regular legacy. So I worked on it all today and voila. :-D
