TSP May anthology - anyone doing excerpts or thumbnails beforehand?

I'm actually starting to have fun writing my TSP May anthology story even with the tags in it that I don't really like... which, actually, is 3 of the 4 but especially 1 of the 4 XD Basically I only like 'agents' of what I was given lol

I have not really thought my drawings out yet. Like... at all. Every time I think that I have to somehow imply *travel* with my tags in a drawing I just... don't want to think about it anymore. XD I'll probably just wing it.

And HOMG this is going to be SO LONG ;n;. I'm gonna die.

And- Femmeslash is allowed, too! (And required if you get that tag, muahahaha)

How many drawings are you going to do btw? 3?

criminals, morning after, gangsters, h/c, assassin/hitmen, doctor/nurses <-- those are your tags aren't they? Are they in that order? I'm really amused by the combination of all of them XD

I didn't even think about femmeslash! I only thought we could do that if that was our tag... this is good to know for the future.

The community itself allows femmeslash (it's why we have a tag for it) so if you prefer to do femmeslash you can. Transgender stuff is also allowed.

I may do that next time... one of the reasons I don't participate as much at TSP as I could is that I don't actually write that much m/m on my own... I tend to write genfics most. But f/f could be fun to write sometime too.

Awesome, I hope you do! I guess it's not as necessary to start as early for art as it could potentially be for a story, depending on how complicated each are

I started mapping out my characters the other day...and how the story starts, I just have to figure out a plot and the ending. I'll probably start writing as soon as I figure it out. :D

I already started writing mine so I was trying to decide whether I would do an excerpt. I have to decide on some bits of it still. I'm trying to keep it relatively short but I don't think that's going to happen in the end...

Hey you know what I realized-- I had kind of wanted to do a second set of tags just to see what I'd get but trying to write a whole other story may be crazy. It just occurred to me, maybe I could do some art though... on the other hand, with all the great artists, I'd feel bad because mine would be ugly in comparison XD

I'm kind of surprised I'm anywhere with my fic actually since usually I procrastinate like whoa... I think I wanted to give myself time to not do that though.

I ended up swapping my poly tag after all because it worked better for Sonny and his 'friendship' tag worked better for me. So that was good because the bit of the poly I'd already tried to start writing in my story just didn't feel right for the characters.

(remember I'M contributing art too - and we're probably the two least experienced of the lot, so if we go down, it'll be together? LOLOL

I grabbed some tags after all! :D And I got military and angels wtf XD I'm extremely amused by that combo and have NO idea what I'm going to do for it-- except I think I'm going to make it femmeslash because that's more interesting to me.

Also you're way too nice! My art isn't awesome. But hopefully it won't be so horrific that it will work ok <3

I think it's cool how many people are doing it. I keep thinking I should've but... my writing is very amateurish and I'm already doing the BB XD

I'm considering doing art though... but I don't quite understand what dpi's are. And is it supposed to tie in with a particular story or does that not matter? Do you get tags chosen for art as well?

I think you can still apply if you want :) I'm not sure though...

For the art-- you should do it! dpi's are dots per inch. When you create a new file/window/picture in programs like Photoshop or Elements or, I'm assuming, Sai, it will let you set that. It basically means it will be a higher quality picture that won't pixelate as easily.

As for the rest-- no, it doesn't have to tie in with anything. You just draw whatever. The theme is travel so you should try to incorporate that idea into the picture somehow, I think, but other than that it's just slash and otherwise up to you. You can elect to get the tags as well if you want. Two tags are drawn for each piece of art. You would then have to try to work those into it too. But if you didn't want to have tags you wouldn't have to, that's just kind of a fun and voluntary thing.

I'm not sure if I will XD I don't know. I wanted to at first but I wouldn't be able to do it digitally only traditionally and I don't think that's what they're looking for. Also, the past art for the anths. are soooo good.

Thanks for explaining in case I do decide. If they are doing another round of sign ups then I can think on it. I'm excited to see yours when finished; both art and writing :D

You know that's a good question about digital vs traditional... but I bet they'd be totally fine with traditional as long as you scanned it in good enough quality. You should ask! Or if you don't feel comfortable doing so, I have no qualms asking :)

and you shouldn't worry about art levels because I'm going to be participating so clearly the bar is not set TOO high XD
