Time for the monthly post!

It is my absolutely favorite kind of weather outside: cool, gray, windy, likely to rain. I'm sitting on my couch, wearing a tank top and boxers, shivering every time a breeze comes in through the open windows. IT IS GLORIOUS ( Read more... )

Okay, I'm going to admit: the big thing I took away from this was YOU'RE WRITING A TEEN WOLF BAKERY AU \o/ \o/ It is probably good that was near the end otherwise I wouldn't have been able to read the rest of your post through the stars in my eyes.

But anyway--I did read your post, so I can say that I'm also delighted that it is finally September and starting to feel/look like fall, because I have the heat tolerance of a small snowball. And, also, CONGRATS on the DailyScienceFiction story--I will have to keep an eye out for that, and I hope it will go over well for you with your family and the sff denizens of the internet. I feel you, on the social media thing.

And Worldcon sounds interesting. I've never gone to a con and don't know much about them--I had friends in high school you used to go to anime cons, which never sounded up my street, but a literary focused con sounds amazing.

A transcription of my texts to k8 when this idea whapped me over the head:

Me: Oh god. Teen Wolf bakery AU. Oh god.
Me: Where Derek is the cranky-ass baker.
Me: And Stiles is the morning shift guy.
Me: And Derek hates humanity.
Me: And Stiles woos him with tea.

So yeah. That's what I've got so far.

Worldcon was fantastic. I'm definitely less interested in the big fan conventions, but anything that has panels with titles "Anarchism is Science Fiction" is gonna be riiiiiiiight up my alley.

Honestly, those texts sound like enough of a premise for me to what to read it--and I'm not sure if I've written many things that had a premise beyond 'that one idea I think is funny', myself. I'm trying to write a Danny/Stiles fic right now, and the plot is basically 'Danny and Stiles and Lydia hang out and talk about how werewolves are idiots.'

TEEN WOLF BAKERY AU *grabby hands* You wrote my favorite AU for Inception fandom and I am VERY EXCITED about this one. :D :D :D

Oh sorry!

The game is still in To Be Determined status so I have no information as far as time/price/etc. I've been checking the website every day and if they don't have anything up by the end of next week I am calling them. :D :D :D

So i've been turning over THEM in my head all weekend (tumblr doesn't feel right, but i don't quite know what does) while being surrounded by my mom's side of the family. Who all are lovely people, but the only ones i've ever had the genderqueer conversation with are my sister and her husband. So. Yeah. *hugs* I hope that your grandma takes this as an opportunity to broaden her horizons and ask you questions in a way that is sweet and attempting-to-understand-something-that-had-never-appeared-on-her-radar, and not awful. And i will totally cut anyone from the internet who fucks with you, bb. <3 If you need to come hermit, my place is always available.

....Did you have to work on May Day?

And you know how i feel about bakery AU. (Which is mostly 'i can't believe you haven't shared this with me yet.' But i love you anyway.)

I mean, we could do wordpress. I think I just like tumblr because it's so easy to follow people, and I already know of a number of queer and gender queer blogs there. If it doesn't work, we can figure something else out. Is it just of the posting access annoyance?

It's good to know someone is willing to cut a birch on my behalf. :D

I AM WAITING UNTIL I HAVE SOMETHING MILDLY SUBSTANTIAL. Right now, it's a lot of flailing and inner monologue. Which is cool and all, but at some point, there should be some kind of plot besides "sex and cookies".

No, it's that it doesn't seem like a big enough platform. But i think if i'm not careful i'll overwhelm myself with trying to be bigger before better, if that makes sense. Tumblr is, if nothing else, a good place to start. I'll poke at it tonight (for real this time).

You know me. Filthy enabler, birch-cutter-for-hire. :D

I HAVE NO OBJECTIONS TO SEX AND/OR COOKIES. I mean really, this is me we're talking about. <3

Step 1: stop the long-con worrying.
Step 2: check out wordpress. I really know fuck-all about keeping a blog, but most of the blogs I read are powered by WP.
Step 3: Are you around later: I'll be out of work in about an hour, and we can BRAINSTORM. WOO.
