I finally listened to this. Interesting, but not really US-Chinese unique. You'll see the same issues of nationalism, "circling the wagons", condescension, extremism and so on whether you'll take US-Chinese, Lithuanian-Russian, Russian-US or Lithuanian-US net "dialogue". (Well, US does not give a damn about Lithuania, so Lithuania-US is really a "monologue" :))). He rightly called it Internet-based tribalism and close-minded-ness in an open medium.
