Pleasantville is all ABOUT symbolism, the movie makes no sense without it! It was forceful with it, almost way to forceful, in the rape sort of way. How could you NOT notice it?

because i watched it when i was like 13. and not as smart as some people. cough cough. really, the thing i noticed this time was just the words. it was nice to watch it as an older person.
