You all should see Angels in America. It really is a touching story. I'm almost done with the movie. 4 hours through, 2 more remaining.

It may be a little long (2 DVDs and there isn't even a single special feature/promo trailer on either of the discs) But the movie is worth it.

It's an incredible movie! Has the same feel as Philadelphia did but I think it goes into more detail. You feel more of the pain, sickness and just downright agony these people are going whether sick or not. It was so awesomely acted too. It won a shit load of awards a couple years ago. Well worth the long watching time.
