On Saturday we went to the dentist because RooG had the dentist make him a mouthguard for karate, and I had to get a cavity drilled. ;__; Apparently I had had a filling once, but it fell out somehow, and the deep hole it left behind made a nice home for a new cavity to move in. The dentist did a really good job filling the cavity, but it still ( Read more... )

I thought Les Miz was a great adaptation and really enjoyed it, but I get why some people wouldn't like it.

Right now in Saitama we're getting real snow that's actually sticking! Making me glad today is a national holiday >_<

PS watch Adventure Time!!

Well damn, I guess the LONDON version of Les Mis would be pretty hard to beat. (And I thought I was cool 'cause I saw it on Broadway. :) Also on a school trip!) I mean, there WERE a lot of close-ups. :/

Oh my glob, Adventure Time! Let me just say one thing about it: You know that 10-year old little girl from Love Actually who sings that unbelievably good rendition of "All I Want for Christmas is You"? (Just me?) Her name is Olivia Olson, and she voices a character in AT! And she gets to sing some silly yet poignant songs - again, amazingly well.

Heh. Well, who knows. I saw it when I was 16 and young and impressionable... who knows what I would have thought of it if I'd seen it when I was 30 and old and grumpy. ;) I DO know that the London version had a lot less close-ups though! ;)

I DO know that little girl from Love Actually-- love that movie! I WILL watch Adventure Time.... someday. :)

OMG I love Adventure Time so much! At first, it was just weird, but after about four episodes, it sort of grows on you. My son loves it so it's something we can watch together. :)

Yes, it's still snow even if it instantly melts. Sleet is something that's sort of halfway between snow and freezing rain. It makes a noise when it hits the ground like someone pouring a slushy or something.

You're the first person I've heard say Les Mis sucked. I kind of hate Russel Crowe, so I'm not in a huge hurry to see it.

Congrats on the progress!
