Yesterday Ryuuji and I made an apperance at jishu tore. Three hours of me plus 9 sweaty Japanese men. I kicked the mit so many times my toenail polish fell off. We did kumite for an hour and some guy that I hate kicked me in the neck. It sucked. It got me thinking ( Read more... )

Ouch, nice kick. Another example of why you always keep your guard up.

And actually, I've heard that amoung the things like less broad shoulders and wider hips, one of the differences of men and women is that women has a tender thin layer of fat underneath their skin which makes it softer and whatnot. Notice how men with low body fat ripple with muscle under skin, while women are less so.

Also remember another fact is guys do tend to be stronger because of generally being bigger and testotorone is one the key hormones in developing muscles. More testo = stronger. There are always exceptions to the rule, but to combat more physical opponents; you have to develop your own way of using your martial arts.
