Strange to hear it now, with Jane on his arm. To hear it here despite the flux of other life around them. Thor does not have to look far before he is meeting dark brown eyes and that fake edge of a smile before Stark's mouth is hidden behind glass. Odd to think of how he teethed the knobs of the man's spine now. Thor blinks down at Jane as she says something that he misses.

"That is the head of the Science department at Cornell." She seems excited and that is all he needs to know, even though Cornell is a mystery to him. Thor smiles and cups her face.

And she does, after pulling him down by his tie to brush her lips against his cheek. Perhaps the tie is not so terrible after all. Thor makes his way toward Stark and people move out of his way without prompting. They even open up a space at the bar for him next to the Billionare. He's lost sight of that woman, his conquest for the evening, and by the time he looks back for the direction Thor went, the Lion of a man is beside him. Tony's startled, though he ought to have not been. The song in his head is throbbing, aiming for completion, and he wants nothing more than to move in the opposite direction of the man that holds the melody to his bass line. It doesn't like being part of a whole when the rest is so close. Tony finishes his drink, again, and leaves the tumbler on the bar. He won't seek another, not yet. The buzz right now is pleasant.

"Oh you know, being a genius is never easy. I've been busy on a few projects." That's not a lie. He's been working with Rhodey on a new engine based off of clean energy to help run a generator to protect New York from further attack. "How goes domestic bliss?" he asks and gestures to Jane.
