He wasn't sure what Chloe and Ciel were exactly thinking but seeing them crossing their legs and staring at him was definitely not a good sign. The dim setting of the resting lounge behind the flower shop - since it didn't seem people bothered to turn on the light - only made Barnaby felt worse, if anything else. There were three tea cups on the table, two empty and one full and yes, it was the cup that Barnaby didn't drink. It was so quiet that he could hear girls from faraway, still chit-chatting along their way home.

Why was telling them "I have an intention to quit the job" so difficult? What was so wrong with him!?
