Ritsuka had been wandering a little lost for sometime. This strange new city was just so big and strange. He caught sight of the occasional couple dancing in the street, but paid them no mind. He found that if he ran away whenever he heard music, he could avoid being pulled into a dance... This worked a whole... two times.

After a bit more wandering, he stops and the small cat ears on his head drop down as he sighs. "This place is annoyingly huge..." He grumbles before something bumps into him. In his frustration he hadn't noticed that music! 'Oh no...'

"Dance with me?"

His tail fluffs up in surprise when he spots a grown woman beside him and holding out her hand. A strange adult asking him to dance? His first instinct is to run, but his body didn't listen. Instead he takes the girl's hand and smiles.

"Of course..." 'WHAT?! NO! SAY NO!' He silently shouts at himself but, it's far too late!

Too caught in the moment to ponder over the strange ears her new dance partner seems to possess, Rapunzel pulls him into a quick spin. It's far from an elegant dance, mostly it's her letting the music take her where it will and it's so strange to dance with someone else! Mother had never been one for dancing and she never got the opportunity to dance with Flynn....

The music surrounding them shifts subtly and what happens next seems to come from a part of Rapunzel she has no control over.

A blush rose on her cheeks and still, the words came.

She smiles a little wider, happy that the hand taking her own belongs to a friend and not some random stranger. Ven's hands were warm around hers and she pulled him gleefully into an open area of the street.

"Here," she placed one of his hands against the swell of her waist and held his other tightly in her own while she rested her free hand against his shoulder. "Now follow my feet, okay?"

As they started out, both of them doing more tripping and giggling than dancing, but it was alright because this was fun too, the music took a subtle change. From random melody to something with a defined beat to it. Rapunzel found herself singing to Ven as they moved, caught in the moment.

dream a little dream, in my little corner of the world
we'll soon forget that there's any other place
tonight, my love, we'll share a sweet embrace ♪

She blushed and bit her lip, not quite able to meet his eyes and too afraid to try and apologize, in case the singing started again.

Rapunzel would kick herself if she could manage it, but as it was, her feet demanded dancing, and Ven was still, surprisingly, a willing victim. She chewed at her lip, worried she'd accidentally offended him, and chanced a glance at him through lowered lashes.

His compliment made the blush darken a little, she could hear the strain in his voice, he wasn't sure how to take this.

She could only hope that he had some run in with whatever was effecting everyone, and would know she didn't mean what she was singing.

Not that she wouldn't love to show him her world! Just, that last line had to sound so awful and wrong! Ven was a sweet kid, and she was so glad to have met him, she could only hope this incident wouldn't make things awkward between them.

It seemed the song had no patience for her inner musings though.
