A Hero in Training meets a Jedi Knight

TIME: Dinner...?
WHAT: Zack runs into one too many Heartless and decides to retreat and runs headlong into a Jedi Knight. Literally.
RATING: PG for some violence?

Qui-Gon had been about to ask the boy if he was alright and help him up to his feet when he saw the black creatures suddenly appear, shortly after the boy. Moving to stand in front of the boy, he dealt with the first few which launched themselves at them via cutting them in two with his lightsaber.

"Stay behind me." he told the boy behind him, not wanting the boy to flee again and thus possibly end up giving the creatures two targets, instead allowing them to focus on him.

Like the last time he'd faced them, they dispersed into smoke and faded away as they were taken out. Unlike the last time however, once those whom had initially came to attack them had been dealt with, no further attackers appeared. Shutting off the lightsaber, he replaced it on his belt and turned back to face the boy. "Are you alright?" he asked, extending a hand down toward the boy to help him back up on his feet.

Not that Zack was in much shape to move. He was still trying to get the breath he lost back. By the time he was able to breath again, the shadows were gone and that light sword thing was gone. How did that guy do that?!

He took the offered hand. "Yeah, just fine! Little bruised, I think. Sorry 'bout runnin' into you though."

Qui-Gon helped the boy to his feet with something of an amused smile. "It's okay, I can understand that you were likely more worried about what was behind you than what lie before you."

"Yeah well..." He scratched the back of his head. "I still shoulda looked where I was goin'... Anyway! Thanks for helpin' me out! What was that light up sword you have anyway?"
