school

there are many things i love about high school.
i could list them all day. i love the familiarity, the relative easiness, the people, the spirit, the freedom, the individuality, the creativity...
but then there are the things that i absolutely despise.
there aren't so many blatant, obvious problems with school.
it's the subtle nuances that i ( Read more... )

For the record, I have never laughed at a person who tripped except for spiker. I have, though, hit my friends for laughing at them causing them to fall and feel the same embarrassment.
I care. I would never sneer at a girl for dressing oddly.
Not everyong in that school is heartless and cruel and uncaring. just the majority. like. 98.4%.
Also, Don't worry about the minimum wage job. you will NOT. be working at one. trust me on that. I'd bet my life on it, in face.
And yeah, every high school is basically the same. sorry love.

it's not mentioned because it doesn't need to be.
part of growing up is realising that no one cares about you.
not no one, I mean. the people that don't know you, don't want to know you, and no one seems to get that.
people do only care about themselves, and want to believe that everyone else does, too. that's the reason behind the fake niceties and silent cruelties.
people are people. they're everywhere, and you can't get away from them.
...unless you become a hermit and live in a mountain, but then you miss out on meeting the people you want to meet, too.

i'll admit it, i don't care about the people i don't know in our school...what's the point? you don't know them so it doesn't matter...they don't know you so they feel the same way...you (you as in all of the universe you i mean) have to get over the fact that people will be bitches...i've dealt with quite a few of them in my life...and they will always be there...everytime i feel down because people are being mean to me or being bitches to me, my parents always comfort me with that...that there will always be people who won't care about you or will want to bring you down to make themselves feel better...it's something everyone's got to live with...you've just got to rise above everyone who does that and show them that you don't care how they feel about you...and there is a place where no one's mean...it's called camp...and even though i get a ton of shit (the same stuff you're talking about...which you give me btw...but i can deal) i love it...and that's why...because everyone going to french camp will go home and talk about it and ( ... )

i don't consciously make fun of you for going to french camp. i think its a really cool idea hence why i wanted to go to spain over the summer and how i want to go to peace and love camp in switzerland next year.
i'll try not to do it in the future.
and the thing is, like with people we don't know, why can't we try to be nicer? why do we always have to be mean? maybe if we are nice to everyone, including those that we don't know, they will in turn be nicer to us. if everyone is nicer, everything will just be more positive. i suggest you read Pay It Foward

try applying that. no one understands the concept.
it's a self-feeding cycle.

i'm not saying i'm not nice to them, it's just indifference...i'm not mean or nice to them...i just don't really pay attention to them, and they don't to me either.
