I can't believe I missed you and a proper goodbye. I'm so sorry!
I plan on catching up with all my favorite people and their journals, but in the meantime, I hope California is all that you hoped it would be and that you're surrounded by positive people and tons of opportunity.
I am so sad that I missed you before I left, and so sad that you are all hot and sexified now, and I can't SEE you!
I will be back in NYC, probably in the fall, and I will hunt you down, woman! ;)
California is beautiful, and things are starting to go easier. You have to come visit me sometime soon, doll! You must have earned some vacation time at that big time job, eh? Come on! LA is a fabulous destination long about August, when the humidity in New York promises to make you melt. ;)
Your Weight Watchers and related lifestyle changes sound very familiar. It feels great to find a solution that works for you, and that enhances rather than hijacks your life. Go you indeed!
It's definitely an enhancement. More energy, more control, better health. And with the flex program, I don't have to deny cravings. I just have to midify portions and really balance my diet.
I can't believe it took so hard to be to jump on the bandwagon, lol.
It's SO damn frustrating to see new artists come out with a similar sound or style and to know that JC would fit in with this contemporary music. I'm not a fan of his to make stupid cameos or judge reality TV. I want to hear the guy belt it out and see him perform to his ability.
How exciting. I'm cheering you on and am totally in your corner. I'm trying to do it too, mostly through exercise and watching what I eat. I need to keep a food journal so I can track what I eat and don't eat. I eat reasonably healthy, but my biggest problem is not eating a good, full breakfast. It's so hard to discipline myself to do that. I try to stop eating or mindless snacking after 7 p.m. at night and won't reward myself if I don't work out. My goal is to exercise at least an hour a day, lose 40-50 pounds, but ultimately just be fit and healthy. I don't care about the size of clothes I end up at-- a 10 might be nice-- or the # on the scale as long as I'm healthy.
Oh, I'm totally there with you. And I have actually upped my activity and exercise since writing this post. I find that even when I'm beat tired and stressed, a simple walk, jog, jump rope or crunches/push-ups completely energizes me and gives me an emotional boost too. I not a jock by any means, but I do feel a lot more fit than I used too.
Good luck on your food choices, keeping up with the journal and the continued exercise (and hour a day! That's incredbile!), and thanks for the well wishes and for sharing girlie.
That's fantastic! I'm so glad you find WW works for you, I have a considerable bias for them (and am back on track myself, have lost 11 pounds since the beginning of the year).
Weight Watchers was never in my vernacular before, but since I started the program? Suddenly EVERYONE is coming out of the woodwork with their own stories and experiences. I'm amazed at how common place it is - from people who just want to learn about simple portion control, to those who want to lose those stubborn 1o pounds to extremely obese people who see this as their only life-long choice for prolonged health.
I love it myself. I really do!
And go you for being back on track! You'll have to post pictures. :)

JC is making me crazy by not doing actual music. It's so damn frustrating.

My bias also has to do with who pays my wages, though not for much longer. I'll miss this place.
