I haven't finished it yet. It's quite heavy going at times, but I like it. In a letter, Oscar said that "Basil Hallward is how I think of myself, and Lord Henry how the world thinks me. Dorian Gray is who I would like to be... in another age, perhaps."

My friend tells me that Dorian Gray is in the Leage of Extraordinary Gentlemen.
I ahven't seen that movie. I heard some people say it was great while others said it was horrible. I watched a few minutes of it and didn't think it was something I'd much like.
I remember reading DG and having to get through a couple parts that (as Stephen's books often do) went on and on and on about things I couldn't care less about, lol! "The colour of the floor was blue like that of a river flowing through East India where shop keepers sat out all day trying to sell little gems they got from the mines of Africa...."
Yes, there was one whole chapter which was a description of everything Dorian got up to in eighteen years. It tended a lot towards the aesthetic Wildeish tastes. Not that interesting.
