As much as I like a break from the snow, I'm going to get sick of this place changing from freezing to warm every other month. It really...didn't need to put us this close to the water, either... It sort of reminds me of Kirov, but... I can't even compare this to an actual port city. I feel like the apartment will flood if it rains.... More ( Read more... )

It's just water...It won't kill you. [Not that she sounds all that pleased about it herself.]

What do you mean by official, anyway? Everyone knows that curses makes us do ridiculous things. Just forget about anything that happened, and everyone else can just go and drop it.

I know that; I just don't want it soaking our floors. Gremio have a fit about it.

By official I mean...legally acknowledged and binding. Not something that can just be ignored and dismissed individually...

A fit over a little water on the floor?

...What did you get into? [She's imagining a business contract or a...crime or something.]

Yeah... He's like that. [ He can hear Gremio now... ]

You know exactly what I got into, Rita.

It reminds me of home... I wonder what they're thinking when they floodied the City again this time.

[.... Pause. Message? So, she's not the only one?] I... think I received a weird message just the other day too. Is also from someone named Loire?

Me too... It actually looks nicer than usual. [ And he mentally notes this is close to what home looks like for Katara. ] You were part of a port city?

--Yeah. What do you think we should do about it? Five oranges isn't much, but...

No, not really. Our village is just surrounded by the sea. I guess that makes it a port, but. [It's just a village to them.]

Five oranges? What for?

[ He nods. ] It's close enough to being a port, I guess...

[ It's like it's being ringed out of him. ] ...for the licence.

They shouldn't be!

I agree. [ ...And now he feels awkward. ] --They probably aren't permanent at all.

[If it's permanent then he will be tearbending for life.] People probably do all kinds of crazy staff that they regret later on because of the curse. I bet people are understanding of that here.

[ Aww, Aang! :< ...He'd have to take it up with Katara. She's good with awkward things. ] I hope they are... I'm sure the people that have to put up with the curses would be, but I don't know about the ones that are on the same level as the deities...

That it can't just be ignored after the fact...

I think most people would give you an exception. Did you do something?

stargathering February 16 2011, 01:01:12 UTC
...Sort of. I know that normal people would give an exception, but I doubt the people that work for the City are like us...

... We might as well enjoy it while it lasts. Just you and me?

We can ask everyone else too? Like.... Katara?

Or Rita, and Gremio, and Luc, and Jowy too...!

I don't know if Rita or Luc would want to come along, but... If you want to invite them, let's go ahead.
