Some things and things

I was perusing ThinkGeek tonight and came across the Bag of Holding Messenger Bag which they claim is 'bigger on the inside' which immediately caught my attention. That sort of makes me want it even more (I love bags anyway) and look at all the stuff you could cram into it! Plus, it's bigger on the inside than the outside! It says so ( Read more... )

Rodeny's bitter because a) Daniel was the one who discovered, and figured out how to get to, Atlantis; b) Is still the foremost expert on Ancients even over Rodney (just without the hard science to go along with it); c) as you said, he's not 'that kind of scientist' and y ou know how much Rodney *loves* Drs of the soft sciences; d) he got to hang out with Sam for 10 years and Rodney didn't :)

I think there will always be a rivalry and standoffish attitude between anyone on Atlantis, and the SGC.

Despite the above, I too didn't find their banter/interaction all that believable, but put it down to different acting styles, or just complete lack of screen chemistry. That and the pure weirdness of see Danny in Atlantis, and the characters extremely snarky attitude, picked up around season 8 SG1 and one that has bugged me ever since. I dont think he ever got over not being allowed to go to Atlantis in the first place, and/or putting up with Cameron and Vala ;)

hehe well when you put it that way lol :P It just seemed sort of off to me. Maybe it was more of Daniel being in Atlantis than anything, I dunno.

BBT is FANTASTIC. It's seriously one of the funniest shows I've ever seen. Having been a serious geek all my life, it's nice to finally have a show where the references are right up my alley.

Hah--the Renaissance faire! I ranted about my local Renaissance faire a few years ago. I have more in common with Sheldon than I thought I did. And I LOVED him as Spock, that was priceless!

What annoyed you about it?

Oh, I was indeed amused by it and for right now will continue to watch it. If I end up liking it enough, I'll go back and watch all the eps I've missed.

I don't know that it was anything specific really, it just seemed some of the jokes seemed a bit forced or excessive in parts. I think mostly between Sheldon & Leslie but nothing that abates my interest of it or anything. I quite liked the Spock part too, that made me totally LOL.

Stick with Big Bang Theory! Rent the first season, or download it and take a gander. I am quite certain that you'd love it. It kills me every time it's on.
"Worst renaissance fair, EVER!" Their openings are always the best.

Yeah, I think you'd dig the first season. This season is more irritating because the writer seem to be obsessed with the dating thing. I'm still watching, of course, but last season was really good times.

The bag is actually pretty cool! I still kind of want it but don't need it. Damn those marketing techniques too ;P
