Stargateland is a team community that is based off of the popular 'LAND' communities such as whedonland. There are three teams, TEAM ALIEN ALLIES, TEAM MILITARY & TEAM SCIENTISTS. 4) SPAM ISN'T FREE. In fact, is costs $3.99 at my local supermarket. So, unless you're sending us all a meat-product sandwich, please don't pimp your communities, icons, etc here.

I'm only familiar with SGU, will I still be able to get involved in challenges if I join?

Absolutely! We have a few folks who are only familiar with one of the three shows.

90%(-ish) of the challenges will allow you to participate using characters/themes/etc from any show you choose. There will be some crossover things (for example, there's a wicked easy trivia challenge going on right now with 4 questions for each show). They should be readily found through google or you can ask your teammates!

Also, you don't have to do all the challenges. :)

I have problems with anything that involves vids or graphics as I have no photoshop or anything like that to use. I am looking at getting something so you never know.

There is always a mixture of challenges going on (games, writing, graphics, etc) Many of the teams have resource posts and help for someone wanting to try their hand at an activity they've not done before - so take a gander when you get in there. :D

Also, there are free graphic editing sites like http://www.picnik.com/ or a free softward called GIMP (I use neither myself, but have heard others use both sucessfully although the online option is rather limited)

You know, I had this random question that may seem very obvious (you know how good I am at asking the "duh" questions).

Does everything reset at the end of a phase? I only started in LJ at the beginning of this year so the whole comm thing and "land" thing is very new to me. I just got so excited about a chance to pimp SGU that I wanted to join!

Yes, everything resets at the end of the phase - all team points go back down to zero. :)

6) SPOILER ALERT. In general, we'll have a 2 week (from air date in USA) spoiler policy. However, anything that requires voting cannot include material or spoilers for season 2 of Stargate Universe nor anything regarding the possible SG1 and SGA films.
