I notice only Weir is tagged as a character from SGA. Is this an AU where SG1 goes to Atlantis instead, or is the Atlantis team there in the background? Considering how badly the canon crossover treated my favorite AR1 member, and having recently been burned on a "crossover" that turned out to be a bashing of one show while worshipping the other, I'm just a little hesitant without any hint as to how the SGA crew is treated, by both the author and the characters.

Weir is the only one tagged because she's more or less the only person with an active role. The story is SG-1 on a Wraith ship near Atlantis, not SG-1 taking over SGA.

To be quite frank, many crossovers I've seen between SG-1/SGA leave SG-1 painted in a very poor light, not the other way round. But I assure you there's no bashing in this one. I wouldn't rec it if it did. :)

I promise you, I love SG-1 and SGA equally well, and have written plenty of crossovers that don't have a bit of bashing of either series' main characters. (The IOA, on the other hand, did come in for a bit of unpleasantness and were cast as villains a few times.)

I couldn't even bash the SG-1 or the SGA characters if I tried. I love them too much!

I understand your hesitation, however, and am 100% okay with it. I've run into the sort of bashing you're talking about, and it's very frustrating to encounter.q
