This is one of my favorite stories ever. I can't believe that it wasn't recc'ed before now! I just love Rigel's writing - each and every time.

There aren't many categories were it would fit, after all. Pre-series recs are pretty rare. And I've been championing the Sha're category all on my own. :)

The solution, of course, is for you to sign up to some reccing, too... ;)

Well, I've thought about that, but the fact is that most of the stories that I've read have either already been recc'ed, or are recc'ed as fast as they come out (often by yourself ; ) If I had a broader range of Genre interests, but there's not really all that much Gen that you don't pick up on, I don't think!

But you can always rec a story a second time - as long as it's in a different category. This same fic, for example, could be recced in pre-series, or het, or Daniel/Sha're, or Daniel. The only restriction is against reccing a story again in the same category.

I've seen the same fic recced twice within a day or two, although it's certainly unusual. :) Abyssis and I once vied for the chance to rec a fantastic story first; she ended up getting first dibs, so I simply waited a few months and then recced the story again in a different category. And yes, it did get new reviews after that second rec, from readers who had missed it the first time around!

Bottom line: don't let previous recs detract you from becoming a reccer! Just choose your categories wisely. Trust me, you'll find it delightfully addictive. :)
