Hi! I'm looking for (any and all) fics where Sam, Daniel or even Rodney attend a scientific conference (or there can be any other circumstance where they interact with their scientific community). The plot can be basically anything, it can be a part of a bigger fic or be the whole point, but I would love to see them interacting with other

Hi there!

Two stories spring to mind:

One is the hilarious Vindication, in which Daniel braves the scorn of his so-called "fellows" in academia in order to give the eulogy for an old professor who had supported Daniel when he was being mocked for his theories. Jack comes along and, with a little advice from Sam, manages to turn the tide of events solidly in Daniel's favor.

The other is Nightspear's incredible AU Daniel of Abydos, which covers multiple novels and six seasons and has a teenaged Daniel mentored in part by Robert Rothman, who takes him to a scientific conference wherer he meets Dr. Jordan (and Sarah-to-be-Osiris). It's part of the fourth book.

Thanks a lot! :D I've actually read Vindication yesterday but haven't found much else (that wasn't blatantly Jack/Daniel) and absolutely nothing with Sam.
